Allow MORE than ONE dog in the MER SOLEIL Community

The Mer Soleil Homeowners Association is claiming that the benefit of the Home Owner Association according is the %u201Csatisfaction of living in a community that is attractive and well maintained,%u201D yet just because you have two small dogs you are in violation of their pet policy regardless of the fact you clean up after the pets.

The Rule in the CC&R states:

%u201CAn Owner shall not maintain or keep in its residential unit or other portion of the Project more than a total of one(1) dog%u2026and/or cats, provided such animals are not kept, bred or raised for commercial purposes.%u201D

This is unacceptable when owners can own one Large dog, but you cannot own two small dogs (e.g. two Chihuahuas). Size should play a part in the decision.
