Dear 2008 Presidential Candidates,

We the undersigned believe strongly that same sex marriage should be passed (hopefully) all over the U.S.  We believe that if you are truly happy with someone then you should be with them, despite the fact that you are the same gender as them. Please, (once you can or please try to) make it so many people can be happy and come together as one.

Thank you for taking the time to read this! It is much appreciated that you did, Thank you again!!

I think it should too-and settling for something different will only create more problems. Separate is never equal.

I really get tired of the whole "marriage is between a man and woman" crap. It's ridiculous. We live in a country where everyone is "supposed" to be free and have equal rights, but gays and lesbians are constantly denied their rights. That was the whole point in the separation of church from state, the only defense people have for not passing it is because of the bible.. and religion is not supposed to have anything to do with Government so that is not even a good reason. What is wrong with two people being in love and wanting to spend the rest of their lives together? You can't help who you fall in love with, you're not supposed to.

In all honesty what is the harm in letting two people in love be married??

I believe that under the rights of the united states I think and strongly agree that a citizens in the united states should have the same right to marry as everyone else does in this country and should be able to... A marriage is between two people that love each other deeply and truley and how can true love be wrong in any regard to how you might put it and let me ask you a question.. how would you feel if someone told you that you could not marry the person that you love because you dont have the same rights in this county...

I am a memeber of the United States Army. I have vowed to fight and die for the US Constitution and The Declaration of Independence and I will, and I am proud to do so, but, The US Law makers need to start following these documents a little closer, and quit making laws based on religious, or personal beliefs. The Declaration of Independence States that we are all entitled to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. However, banning gay marriage is a huge step in the wrong direction. Denying Gays and Lesbians the life they want, taking away their liberties, and telling them, that they are not good enough to be happy, forcing them into a life that they don't really care to have. This is not the United States that I am offering to defend.

marriage is about love. the for richer-and-poorer-till-death-do-us-part kind of love and if they can do that, who are we to deprive them of that right? it is time for us to open our minds and stop being too uptight.
