Petition to Allow Quebec Oldtimer Teams to play in the OCSL

Update -OSA Executive met last night June 9, 2011 and have voted to permit the Quebec teams to play in the OCSL.

We thank you for your support! Please feel free to sign the petition anyway since you are here to show that although we were successful in 2011 that we will not have the same issue in 2012

To enlighten the governing bodies in Ontario that adult soccer players, more specifically Over 35 and Masters (Over 50)  should be allowed to play in a league that provides them a safe and appropriate level of play. Since the Quebec teams are being prevented by the EODSA and OSA to play, they are not only affecting the Quebec players but also their opponents who belong to Ontario teams.

This petition is requesting that you sign, showing your support that these Quebec clubs who have participated in the OCSL for more than 30 years, should be allowed to continue.
We the undersigned, respectfully request that you allow the Quebec Oldtimer and Masters teams to continue playing in the OCSL. As stated in our original successful appeal, these teams/clubs have been playing in the OCSL for approximately 30 years. To expect teams from OT1 to Masters play against each other in a 12 team league is not the intention of the Canadian Soccer Association's Mission Statement: : "to provide opportunities to all of our members ranging from World Cup victories to participation appropriate to everyone's abilities."

The fact that  the decision is now under review after the season already started affects 120 teams directly not simply 12 teams.

Should you feel the need to review the successful appeal of the EODSA's decision to deny these Quebec OT teams, please allow these teams to play in the meantime.
