Serious Concerns with our Surgeons in the UK and the Lax Support from the Governing Bodies NICE and the MHRA
 
An urgent review is required on the medical devices TVT Retropubic (gold standard), TVT-Secur, TVTO, TOT and the use of mesh graft for hernia repair surgery plus the Governing Bodies NICE and the MHRA who regulate these medical devices

The polypropylene surgical synthetic mesh used in the medical devices is the source of the problem and we want this surgery stopped. Many people around the UK are finding it extremely difficult to contact an experienced surgeon to treat mesh related complications and unfortunately many inexperienced surgeons are going ahead with what appears to be guess work surgery and making matters worse for their patients. 

It is unbelievable to realize that one piece of mesh can cause such devastation not only to our health but it has also affected our quality of life.  There are people who have lost their homes, careers, marriages, family and friends.

The greedy practices of the pharmaceutical companies, the un-educated on these medical devices, egos getting in the way of good surgical practice and also through ignorance from our governing bodies they have allowed these products to be used and it still continues today.

Helpful advice to sign the Petition:-  We do not hold peoples home addresses or see email addresses when signing the petition, plus you can sign anon and use a partial address ie: no house number if you prefer. 

Unfortunately you cannot use the same computer to sign multiple signatures, you can only use one individual computer as your IP address will be logged and will only accept one signature.  We suggest you use another computer for your family and friends to sign, ie: library, workplace if allowed, own personal computer.
