Aerial hunting is where a plane will dive bomb down on a wolf again and again making it run as fast as it can for miles and miles. Then when the creature is so exaughsted that they collaps. at that point the hunters land and shoot the animal in the head. Thats if they are lucky. If not the wolf makes it back to its den where the hunters land and throw smoke grenades into the den to flush the family out. As the wolves and there puppys run out they are shot dead. This is the most horrific way to hunt and can not be allowed. Sign this petition and help stop aerial hunting. Congress passed a law 35 years ago to stop aerial hunting, but Alaska has taken advantage of a loophole in federal law and has continued to hunt bears and wolves in this manner.

Stop this massacre. They have been there first. It should be possible to find a different solution for the persons who live near them, it's 2008 and destruction will and has never been the right answer.

Even "hunters" would NOT consider this "hunting", but rather, a cowardly act of murder in its most demented form. Anyone that can commit such brutal and sadistic "murders" against defenseless fellow earthlings, and in such an outrageously violent manner, is in urgent need of intensive psychiatric care -- as far away from intelligent and enlightened civilization as possible!!! It has been proven that humans capable of brutal, savage atrocities against animals, are most likely capable of perpetrating similar murderous, evil, vicious, and inhumane crimes against "Human" Animals, as well. In my opinion, that also goes for the governor of Alaska and her cronies, who would allow and even encourage such savagery, (i.e., a $150.00 bounty for the severed leg of a wolf). Governor Sarah Palin has even held back investigations to bring these criminals to justice. Maybe Governor Sarah Palin belongs in a good mental institution -- certainly not in the White House!

Terrible cruel and inhumane way to kill a wolf. They are chased for miles before they are shot and sometimes the first shot doesn't kill them, they drag themselves along in agony until they are eventually shot again. Even though they may lie down and appear to be dead, the animal can lay there for a long time, dying a long, painful death.

What a totally horrible practice!!! Wolves are a very beautiful and wonderous creature, and they deserve to live their lives the way that God intented for them to live. I cannot imagine why anyone would be proud of hunting down an innocent animal like this. What is wrong here? Please stop this barbaric practice! There is nothing to be proud of when you take an innocent life!
On behalf of the animals all over the world.
