T.J. Maxx, we love shopping at your stores, but we do not love products from China with fur. The thought of skinning puppies, cats and rabbits, foxes or any other animal alive is inexcusable and deplorable especially for the sake of fashion but that is the way the Chinese fur trade is operated. They say it's done to get a more perfect ''cut''. Afterwords the carcasses are tossed into a pile, still alive, and for up to 10 minutes you can see their hearts still beating, in agony, their eyes still blinking, and the puppies little paws still shaking. The undercover film says it all. We expect our retailers to adhere to a higher standard by not buying these products. http://www.peta.org/feat/ChineseFurFarms/index.asp Please sign this petition, call or write your local retailers and demand they not offer these products for sale in the future. we stop this trade with our voices and our pocket books. T. J. Maxx is not alone (even Neiman Marcus is guilty with their $1500 Manolo Blahnik boots which were labeled as natural ocelot fur trim on top, relabeled as Ocelot-printed boots, now called Dyed ocelot-print goat fur trim) and all their made in China furs. FYI: Ocelot is endangered. In many Asian countries without laws to protect them, ordinary house cats are warehoused & slaughtered; breeds such as the Bengal, Spangled, Egyptian Mau and Ocicat are all used for their leopard-like skins. Buyers should avoid obscurely labeled furs, those of questionable origin and Asian-made fur garments for this reason. Please read the labels and let the vendors know you do not want these products. Tell your friends. Tell T J Maxx. Tell other vendors. Do it now. Thanks for participating. We can make it a better world.
