Australia, keep your word. Stop Japanese whaling!!!

Target:
Everyone who cares about the future of our seas and its amazing inhabitants.

The Transparentsea initiative, needs your help to remind the Government of Australia to uphold its election promises to do everything within its power to stop Japanese whaling in the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary and Australian Antarctic territorial waters.

This Government promised the Australian public to support the well researched case for taking Japan to ITLOS (the International Tribunal for Law of the Sea) and yet, as Japan is escalating its so called 'scientific' whaling to include endangered Fin whales, the Government clearly has backed away from upholding Australia's contemporary stand on behalf of cetaceans.

Once we gather enough signatures, we plan on sending all entry's to the Government of Australia to reflect the will of people worldwide and show sovereign fortitude, by taking the strongest possible action against whaling, over and above the limited and often ineffectual process of 'diplomacy'.

I demand that the Government of Australia reflect the will of people worldwide, and show sovereign fortitude, by taking the strongest possible action against whaling, over and above the limited and often ineffectual process of 'diplomacy'.

Let's hope that election promises are kept and not just used for the popularity vote. Japan is getting away with the mass slaughter of our planets most amazing species and this is the time for the Australian government to stand up, take action and engage the world by example.
