We have recently learnt that the Kevin Rudd administration has planned to cull 650,000 camels in Australia's outback. This is in response to controlling the camel population which is said to cause widespread havoc by trampling vegetation and 'encroaching' on human territory. We fail to realise that they were first introduced by us to help explorers travel through the Australian desert. Its heartbreaking to see that we consider them so easily disposable. What of the pregnant mothers and babies? What if we control them to the extent that one day we inadvertently wipe out this most beautiful and useful of species?

We, therefore, appeal to the Kevin Rudd administration to find an alternate solution to this problem which we ourselves have created. Do not be so heartless. The human population is increasing at an alarmingly fast rate. Should we, then, organise death squads to control our reproduction?

Think rationally and humanely.
