The baby Joeys are ripped from their mothers pouch and killed by clubbing or being stomped on. China has a huge market for Kangaroo meat and skins... which Australia obligingly fulfills.One cannot help see the hypocrisy in this situation. Dear Sir, We the undersigned protest in the strongest terms to the Kangaroo being used as a Logo to support the promotion of Australias' Kangaroo Island as a hoilday destination for Europeans. Taken into account that your Government considers Kangaroos pests and systematically slaughters these innocent creatures, selling their meat and skins to China, we urge you to take note of the hypocrisy in using the Kangaroo as a promotional mascot. It appears that the Kangaroo is being simultaneously exploited and destroyed. We undertake to boycott Australian Tourism until this situation is remedied. When I think of austrailia I think of its wonderful animals. Not the damn historical monuments or celebrities or the monuments, but rather its wildlife. Its kangaroos in particular. The kangaroos are natives to austrailia. Perhaps alot longer than humans. Please. Lets all end this devastating decrease in the kangaroo population. They belong here in this world.
It is disturbing to see the things that dumb poachers do to these wonderful creatures and their babies. What sort of message are we bringing here. Hilter must not be so bad after all. After all we are trying to wipe out a race of animals as he did the jew. It is pathetic what we have become. We must change now before we are later known as the barbarians who destroyed our world. And worst of all, it could all have been avoided.
