Ban Bestiality in Florida
Bestiality (sexual abuse towards animals) is an action that is illegal in 34 states of the United Sates of America. Florida is not one of those states. As a resident of the state of Florida I want my voice to be heard. Sexual abuse towards animals is cruel and unethical. This petition is being created with the objective of spreading the word about this cruel action that Florida legislators keep as legal. This issue may not change over night, but little by little change can be made. Please consider this petition, please take charge in a cruel and ruthless action like bestiality.
We the undersigned residents of the State of Florida have looked upon an issue that should be of great concern. Showing ethical treatment towards humans is an action that is not argued because humans are living creatures that have values and feelings. On the other hand, ethical treatment towards animals is a matter that is probably not viewed with great importance. The truth of the matter is that animals (just like humans) are creatures with feelings. They should be given the same basic rights as humans. It is illegal to make a sexual offense towards a human; yet bestiality is a matter that is legal in the State of Florida. When animals are subject to sexual abuse by a human they are completely vulnerable. Most of the animals that are victims of such abuse are helpless and defenseless. They can`t fight back to a creature that is probably three times they`re size. Also, animals are not physically equipped to have sex with humans, when done it is rape. Since the animal is so vulnerable, the only choice that it has is to stand all of the severe pain, fear and torture. Making bestiality illegal in the State of Florida may not make the problem go away from day to night; but it will definitely be a start. The offenders will know that there is a legal risk with they`re action towards the animals. Animals will be able to have ethical rights just like humans. Being as helpless as they are, there should at least be a law that protects them from the harmful minds of certain humans.
