I was in Madrid, Spain in 2008 and it was so beautiful. I went to a bull fighting event to take in the history of Spain. I was honestly horrified. The act of killing the bull was so brutal and during the first particular bull fight, the bull was not killed quickly, he died a slow, painful death. I had to get up and leave immediately after the first fight. Although, I fully understand the history of bull fighting, I thought truly that as a society, as more evolved species, we by now would understand that harming any creature in a sport atmosphere only shows our own ignorance and lack of compassion. It is a senseless act and only exists for people's own sick pleasure. I am truly saddened by our lack of understanding that how we treat all creatures under us only shows our true character. The bull fighting act shows our primal evil murderous side, lets hope we have evolved much further than that. Please stop the bull fighting.
