Petition to ban plastic bags in grocery and drug stores in Collier County.
We wish to discourage the use of paper and plastic shopping bags by requiring grocery, drug
and convenience stores to charge a fee of approximately 20 cents per bag. We also suggest a ban on plastic foam containers for food and drink. People can avoid the fee by bringing their own reusable bags when they shop.

Here in Sweden the plastic bags/papre bags costs a total of around 2 SEK (wich I belive is around 20 cents value). Re-usable bags are often only used by older people. Wich I cannot understund. Well, Ill sign this, as I hope this will be coming soon in most places.

I never use plastic or paper bags when I go grocery shopping or other shopping!! I take along my own canvas bags for the sacker or bag person to put my merchandise into!!!! I lived in Germany in the late '70's and that was where I first learned about using your own re-usable canvas bags!!!!
