Ban Polar Bear Trophy Hunts

The United States does not allow the sport hunting of polar bears in Alaska. However, hunters may travel to Canada where it is legal, slaughter these majestic creatures, and request to import the head or hide back into the US.

Half of the world's polar bears reside in Canada, and they already face troubles from global warming, chemical pollution of their habitats and oil exploration. Trophy hunting is cruel and frivolous. We must do what is possible to put an end to this vain practice.

We ask that you ban United States hunters from importing the treatened and endangered polar bear from Canada trophy hunts.
