Ban "Tethering" in Cedar Hill

Ft. Worth, Irving, and Austin. Texas leads the state with their no tethering animal ordinances, citing that no dog can be tethered anytime unless accompanied by a human companion. We as Cedar Hill citizens strongly urge that our city adopt the same ordinance verbatim. This will allow Cedar Hill, Tx. to be part of the humane movement that will make Texas the leader in the U.S.
We would like that this ordinance be adopted as quickly as possible, which will give relief to the dogs suffering 24/7 on chains in extreme weather and conditions.
We the undersigned petitioners hereby request immediate action and update
to our animal ordinances to include a ban on tethering of dogs 24/7.
Temporary tethering for short periods of time would be acceptable as many inside dogs are let out for bathroom breaks and fresh air.   It would be noticeable if anyone should abuse this exception as evidence would identify
longer periods of restraint.
Thank you for implementing this change for compassion as it will improve the lives of so many.
