Plastic bottles littering the street.

Ban Bottled Water!!

Target:
Bottled water distributer
We, the undersigned, would like to put an end to the useless, wasteful plastic water bottles. It currently takes 17 times as much water to make the water bottle than to fill it. This should be impermissible when the UN estimates that by 2025, almost 3 billion people will be unable to find water. Water bottles also cause a great deal of litter. Only 10 percent of the 22 billion plastic water bottles used each year are recycled. When there are 46,000 pieces of plastic in one square mile of ocean, killing 100,000 marine animals every year, there is something extremely wrong with our society. We are asking that you reconsider selling plastic water bottles and supporting those companies that are ripping off all of your customers. It is estimated that bottled water can cost 10,000 times more than tap water, yet there is no proof that bottled water is healthier or safer to drink. Therefore, we would like your store to stop selling bottled water and find eco-friendly alternatives (nalgene water bottles or tap water filters) instead.
Thank you for your time.If you have any further questions, please visit the Re-Use Revolution Site for more facts: http://www.sdsurfeco.com/reuserev
