Banning the Skinning of Animals Alive
This petition and its signatures ask for the method of skinning animals alive for fur to be made illegal. That will mean that each state's Department of Agriculture will have to go to state officials and propose this as a bill. The facts are that animals are usually skinned alive for their fur because then that leaves the fur in the best condition. This horrible method of making a fur coat leaves the animal breathing, blinking their eyes, and deeply suffering because they can live up to 20 minutes after being skinned. These innocent animals don't understand why this happens and their precious lives deserve more respect than that. Your signature will help support the US government to see that its citizen's are not going to stand by while animals are being skinned alive. We the undersigned are asking you to propose a bill and nation wide law making skinning animals alive illegal. Many fur factories don't put this method of killing animals very public. This method of gathering the animals fur is very inhumane, especially because they can live for 20 minutes after being skinned alive, breathing, blinking, suffering, and wondering why this is happening to them.
