A 39 year old man was just recently stopped at the Vancouver International Airport with personal carry on luggage containing 3 dismembered frozen bear paws wrapped in tin foil, destined for China. These paws were from at least 2 different animals. This disgusting act is only the tip of the iceburg for smuggling of illegal animal parts. Eastern medicine uses ancient, cruel, senseless, destructive, unproven mythical practices needlessly and incessantly.
This cruelty must be stopped and the people need to stand up and say this is not acceptable in any way, shape, or form. We need to send a message that needless destruction of wildlife will not be tolerated and will not be a part of fuelling this grotesque idea of 'healing' at the expense of innocent animals' lives and suffering. Any, and all who abuse the privilege of living here by inflicting this suffering MUST BE PUNISHED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW.
