Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field. I'll meet you there. Rumi. Yes we must go beyond factory farming, beyond nationhood,(although your petition insists on a country - I chose one at ramdom, as I don't belong to any nation, race or creed - I belong to the universe, the field.) and just enter in to a global acceptance of compassion or kindness and uncondtional love...then we can dance with Rumi

We need to take time to be more sensitive to each other. If someone seems to be having a rough day, is it really so difficult to show them some kindness? You never know what pain they are experiencing and your simple act of kindness may be what makes the difference. Don't be so quick to just think they are nasty or mean....it really may just be the way they are dealing with their pain.

I also had a petition that they should teach Compassion 101 in schools--Compassion should be an attribute that is the goal of civilized people--compassion to people, animals and the environment--We should be a vegetarian nation--Factory Farms and Slaughterhouses should be illegal in a sane and civilized country !!

We all know how it feels to put in back breaking, work only to have it overlooked or trivialized. The organizations in this position are not usually known. To be acknowledged for your works, makes the work worthwhile. And those who put in enormous amounts of selfless time, compassion and concern should be honored. How many of us can say that this is work that can be done with ease? How many of us have done this work? How many more lives can be saved by everyone joining in? Join in...
