Boycott Bob's Red Mill for Funding Animal Experimenters

You may have seen a great big donation from natural foods giant, Bob's Red Mill, to Oregon Health and Science University, splashed across the news earlier this week. Headlines read, "Bob's Red Mill donates $25M to Improving Nutrition," or other such statements leading the public to believe this is all completely innocent.

What the headlines do not tell you is that Oregon Health and Science University is one of the most notorious animal experimentation hot spots in the country. Having run the OHSU primate center since 1962, they are infamous for torturous experiements with monkeys and other primates. Various whistleblowers have come out of its doors to condemn the practices that they were once a part of. The hefty vegan and vegetarian customer base of Bob's Red Mill will not be pleased.

We must make it clear to Bob's Red Mill that we will not purchase products from a company that funds animal experimenters.
It has recently come to my attention that Bob's Red Mill has made a hefty $25M donation to the Oregon Health and Science University. To many, this would seem like a generous gesture. Unfortuneately, they do not know the full story.

For years, OHSU has been the target of various animal welfare institutions because of their torturous animal experimentation and their unwillingness or inability to tell us what the benefit of their research actually is.

It is absolutely unjustifiable for Bob's Red Mill to donate funds to a university that so callously funds such research. Bob's Red Mill is a company that sells nutritional products used by many vegans and vegetarians. They, and we, will not stand by and tolerate this kind of flagrant disregard for humanity.

Until Bob's Red Mill goes on record to state they will no longer fund institutions that are involved in such heinous practices, we will no longer be able to purchase Bob's Red Mill products.

Please make a promise to your customer base that Bob's Red Mill stands for the health and well-being of both humans and animals and will only commit its resources to parties with this shared mission.
