Boycott ShopNBC & shopnbc.com because of fur sales

After years of selling lovely high-quality faux fur items, shopnbc.com is now selling real fur coats of fox, mink, rabbit, and other animal furs. We know that farmed animals, such as minks, suffer painful anal electrocution as their manner of death. Wild animals, such as foxes, are killed even more cruelly, often suffering lingering, painful deaths in leg traps.

When I contacted shopnbc.com about this, I received the following letter: "ShopNBC does not hold a position for or against the wearing of fur. As an established retailer of high-end apparel and accessories, we strive to make a broad selection of merchandise available to our customers, all of which may not appeal to every customer's taste. ShopNBC does not endorse the wearing of fur, other than by simply making it available to those customers who choose to purchase it."

I disagree. I maintain that by offering it for sale, they are condoning it. And by condoning it, they are endorsing the cruel and unnecessary suffering and death of countless innocent animals.

Please join me in boycotting ShopNBC and shopnbc.com until/unless they permanently stop offering real fur for purchase on their live tv shopping channel and website.
