Chained Dogs: Nearly Three Times More Likely to Attack Than Dogs Not Tethered

Prolonged dog chaining is almost universally recognized as a cruel form of confinement.

Chained dogs usually become neurotic and unpredictable because they do not receive enough socialization and love. Due to this, chained up dogs can be more dangerous and aggressive.

"Chaining a dog is arguably the single most dangerous condition in which to maintain a dog...79% of the 431 people killed by dogs in the United States between 1965 and 2001 were children under the age of 12." --Karen Delise, author of Fatal Dog Attacks

If you chain up your dog for the whole day, WHY even have a dog?

It's time to ban the dangerous, cruel practice of chaining dogs, for our children's sake as well as the dogs.

In addition, many chained dogs are deprived of proper food, water, shelter, and veterinary care. Dogs are naturally social beings who thrive on interaction with human beings and other animals. In the wild, dogs and wolves live, eat, sleep, and hunt with a family of other canines. When chained, they are neglected animals with no escape from cruel deaths.

Please help Michigan become a part of many communities that are already passing laws to regulate the practice of tethering animals.

Break the chain or break the heart!

Neglected dogs like these need YOU to make a difference in their lives!

THANK YOU!!!
