We, the undersigned are asking TLC to cancel Jon and Kate until further investigation into the well being of the Gosselin children. These children are required to work more than child labor laws allow due to a loophole in the laws that govern reality shows.

Dear TLC,We, the undersigned are asking that you cancel production of Jon and Kate Plus 8. We feel that the Gosselin children are being exploited. We are concerned for the well being of the children. We are calling for a full investigation of child welfare laws that pertain to how many hours a child may work each day. These children's privacy and personal space has been disrupted by cameras in their home and in their lives. They are filmed using the toilet and taking baths in the nude. The sextuplets are now 4 years old and we feel it needs to stop. Thank you for taking the time to read our letter.

I just read this really sad article about Madilyn Gosselin and how she's one of the most hated tv characters. I think TLC and most importantly the parents are to blame for this. You need to stop this show. Showcasing this disfunctional family every week is not healthy. This girl and more than one of her siblings are displaying really alarming behavior. The parents are obvioulsy too dense to see this and stop the show so maybe one or more execs at TLC will see it and say enough is enough. Cancel this show and then get that family into counseling. They so desperately need it. Please acknowledge this petition. I believe it is from a once (former) viewing audience that now so painfully sees the dangers and bad behaviors of this family and putting them on TV every week for so many to criticize. I used to always defend this show but this past season just did me in and I refuse to watch anymore. I really don't like seeing this show on so much on TLC. It's like it's on in the morning, the afternoon and then you run these marathons that are on all day long! My goodness you've totally burned me out on this family. As if seeing Kate Gosselin once a day isn't enough, you totally shove her in our faces every single day. The kids are losing their appeal and adorable factor big time, so the show isn't really interesting to me anymore. NEver cared for Jon, he's too spineless and lackluster to ever be considered a real man, those poor boys have no real role model in their lives. Those girls are so bratty and annoying at times, especially Hannah. If you (TLC) would have not given this family so many free trips and things the average family could I think relate to them. But there are no real struggles being shown with them. It's just watching the kids bratty behavior now, especially the girls, and the hands being out every episode by the parents. My college friends and I used to love this, now we don't even bother watching anymore and that's sad. We used to all look forward to it in the beginning of the shows. I used to tolerate this show when my partner wanted me to watch it, but that was only the first season and I cannot believe this show is still going on and you TLC are paying this family for this show. This dad doesn't even have a job and he thinks it is ok to exploit his kids because he is too damn lazy to work. My friends have 5, 6, 9 kids and they would never dream of doing what Jon and Kate Gosselins are doing. They actually work for a living and have jobs. These parents think it's ok to show their kids private moments for all tosee. It's sad and kinda sick and I wish this show would go off the air or be cancelled. Kate has to be stopped. Every time a "regular" is seen on the show, Kate forces them out of the childrens lives for good, no matter if they are family or not. So far, Beth and Jodi have both been ripped away from the kids because of Kate's thirst for the spotlight. I think it is interesting that most child actors have their camera time limited. Jon & Kate's children are actors because they are given lines to read and recite regularly and are used in advertising and promotions with their parents. Also, the older two girls and some of the little ones are seen crying out of frustration with their enviroment rather that glow in the spotlight. Jon & Kate seem to regulary taking advantage of handouts and them spend more time damage controlling with charity work their greed to make themselves feel better. I believe their focus of "reality T.V." has been lost in the limelight.

These children are being exploited. It seems Mady has a hard time dealing with pressure, and being filmed all the time is not helping. Jon Gosselin lied on the show when he said he got a new job. He is not working at all, and living off his children. This is a form of fraud on account of TLC probably told him to say this because it would look better. They are getting just about everything free. The trip to San Diego and Hawaii with the wedding must have cost over $100,000. I wonder if they are paying taxes for these trips like the people have to do on TV quiz shows. I wonder if the lectures they do at the different churches are being honesly reported too. Some people write remarks about being jealous. No, this is about fairness. Some people that work all their working lives will not make as much money as they have already. I did not realize they were being paid $75,000 an episode. They should be putting at least half of the money they make into trust funds for the children. They should take down the website about people donating money for the children's education. With the money they are making they should be setting aside money to educate their own children. I used to love this show. Now I have stopped watching. It is fine to give the family a few perks, like a trip to disneyland or the tummy tuck for Kate. Now it is all about trips, selling products and free clothes. Please cancel the show!
I used to love this show. Now I have stopped watching. It is fine to give the family a few perks, like a trip to disneyland or the tummy tuck for Kate. Now it is all about trips, selling products and free clothes. Please cancel the show!

THis show is horrible and I don't watch it but you (TLC) play it WAY TOO MUCH on TV. It's on every morning and every night and then you have marathons. Enough please. I enjoy the other shows on TLC and when I look for them Jon and Kate are on all.the.time. This is total burnout you're doing on this family and the viewing public is getting tired of seeing their faces all the time. Please step back a bit and chill with this family. They're bad enough to watch as it is, but to have them shoved in our faces every day is so ENOUGH. And that mother? Please!

I think that this couple is opening themselves up for a future where their children do not like them. The show was supposed to be about the children being raised in a 'normal' family but now all they do is travel and take trips. I have one child and she enjoys watching the show but she is continually asking why when both her parents work and there is just her we only take one trip and the Gosselins take three or more a year. The message that is being sent to not one I want to daughter to witness.

Do not cancel the show. If you don't like the show don't watch it. Its that easy. These kids are not working, that's just stupid. All of you are just jealous because she has a better life than you. All of you say you wouldn't do what she is doing, however all of you probably would if you would in the same shoes. To me jon doesn't seem to mind how kate treats him, he's still with her. It's a free country, he could have left her a long time ago, but since there's a new season i guess he didn't. It seems to me none of you have a life, so you have to critize someone elses. You (TLC) have turned Kate Gosselins into a monster. She is horrible to her children (the boys especially) and horrible to her husband. I believe she was an unhappy person before the cameras came along, but this show has just brought out the nastiness and entitlement issues in her even more. And the father? Please. I thought fathers were supposed to protect and keep their children safe? All this clutz is doing every week is exposing his kids to a lifelong danger of weirdos out there attracted to his kids, not to mention the damages of being on a TV show as a child ACTOR. I hope this show goes off the air soon. Those kids are going to be a messed up bunch in a few years!

Jodi not on the show was the last straw for me. That was the only place I saw the kids really happy. I think Kate saw how obvious it was that Jodi was showing her up as good mother. Jodi was such a blessing in their lives. Kate runs her house like some sort of institutional facility with cameras no less, while Jodi gave them love, fun and family without the drama. This is not a normal childhood. And such greed.

I think this show has long ago run its course. While it's not scripted (I assume) it is far from being a "reality" show. Their artificial reality has been created by the show's initial success and the subsequent rise in their income. At this point, they seem to be doing nothing more than exploiting their children for personal gain. I stopped watching the show months ago out of sheer disgust. Kate displays a total lack of humility and behaves as if the travel, ski trip, Hawaii vacation and other perks are her divine right somehow. She is constantly condescending toward her husband and plays favorites with her own children and is openly unapologetic for both. She has said on more than one occasion that she is aware of her numerous critics but simply refuses to acknowledge the criticism - apparently because it doesn't even cross her mind that she could possibly be wrong about anything. I really believe that the only reason most people still watch the show is the same reason that people rubberneck at an accident scene. It has become a self-indulgent train wreck that some people just can't turn away from. Unfortunately, canceling the show won't make Kate Gosselin a better person or a better parent, nor will it give her children a completely normal life, but at least it will keep her and her husband from continuing to profit at their children's emotional expense. If TLC wants to hold themselves to a higher standard than the so-called "reality" slop that makes up so much of the programming on networks like MTV, then they have an obligation to cancel this show.

Please help these children to have a normal childhood. I think this show is awful!! I know there are other families out there with two or more sets of multiples and they are not getting free Hawaii trips, ski trips, ski clothes. I can see diapers, maybe even the van but come on....the Gosselin machine must be stopped. Especially with so many people struggling the last thing we want to see is these opportunistic people vacationing for free!! Please TLC cancel this show.

These children are being horribly exploited, and downright abused. Kate verbally and mentally abuses them, shows extreme favoritism to one child, and doesn't seem to even like her boys. She puts down their father in front of them, acts like the kids are just a pain she tolerates to get free cloths, vacations, personal chef, cleaners & nannies. They charge outrageous fees for speaking engagements & autographs when they already make a fortune from the show and are moving into a 2 million dollar house, that the network is paying for. Then Kate as the NERVE to say that they are struggling. The poor children have no family or friends around because John and Kate don't want other people getting paid for their show. And they still say that their normal! They have a sign outside their lawn saying that they don't want people stopping in front of the house, taking pictures OR talking to them. I can't believe that they don't want people talking to them. Its like their alienating and isolating their children. Its a horrible environment for little children to grow up into. I do catch peeks of the show, and its personally Okay.Untill Kate starts and they have these children doing these shows all day for 4-5 days out of the week, and for a full year they only get about 2 weeks where there is actually no filming. Its horrible.

It is like a 30 minute infomercial every week of what product they're pimping this week! It's so ridiculous. There is no reality or realness to the show or the parents.
