Cancel the FIA approved WDC selection criteria for F1 World Championship 2009

Target:
FIA President, Max Mosely
Sponsored by:

Please accept this petition from  F1 Fans of the World as our official statement against the FIA approved World Drivers Champion (WDC) selection process that will be used for the 2009 F1 World Championship.  We believe the quantity of wins alone is not an accurate selection criteria for the WDC.  We propose that the cumulative points standings at the end of the 2009 F1 World Championship should determine the WDC, as it has for previous  F1 World Championships.

Overall performance of a season should count, not the result of a few races only. In theory, under the present regulations, a team could save on 50 % of the races by joining the other 50 % only andspend the money on the development of the car.......

I think the decision unjust, because Alonso not to blame the fans and we are very affected, because the race is in Spanish? Ay alonso going to see, we are humble people and cost us much suffering to earn the money to buy tickets I hope to do something about it.

The winner takes all system is ridiculous. It'll be a big mistake for the F1.

The winner takes all system is not going to work. Why not just increase the points as: - 1st = 15pts 2nd = 10pts 3rd = 7pts 4th = 5pts 5th = 4pts 6th = 3pts 7th = 2pts 8th = 1pt This way they is a bigger gap between the winner and second, and also between second and third

The FOTA proposed scoring system should be implemented, more differentiation points-wise between first and second will increase the value of a win and still keep the championship as it should be

This will just wreck Formula One as we know it. None of the fans want it, neither do the drivers or the teams. Surely these veiws matter?
