I have worked for over a decade, to get Medical Marijuana legalized in the State of Washington. Thanks to the efforts of dedicated people, Medical Marijuana is available with a doctor's prescription, in the State of Washington and 12 other States. The Federal Government under President Obama, has just made the happy announcement that the Federal Government will ALLOW patients in States that have legalized Medical Cannabis, to not have to worry about Federal Prosecution, as they did during the Bushco years. During the Bush/Cheney regime, even those patients PERFECTLY OBSERVING STATE LAW, were still subject to FEDERAL prosecution, anyway. NO LONGER!!! Several more States, are CONSIDERING changing their laws to allow Medical Cannabis to patients. If you who are reading this, live in a State that does not yet allow patients and pain sufferers, to choose Medical Cannabis rather than some harmful and not-necessarily-effective glop Big Pharma wants to push on you: then YOU NEED TO CONTACT YOUR STATE LEGISLATORS, as well as LOCAL NEWSPAPER EDITORS, on the subject. It was VOTERS in 13 States, who PUT MEDICAL CANNABIS ON THE BALLOT, AND VOTED FOR IT. [By the way, the "Target" of your petition, is NOT "those who are going to sign it". Read Care2 INSTRUCTIONS more carefully! The "Target" of your petition, is WHO THE PETITION IS GOING TO BE SENT TO, AFTER IT IS FILLED. THAT is the "Target". The Target ought to be, STATE LEGISLATORS or even Federal Legislators; in other words, those in a position to DO SOMETHING ABOUT the subject of the Petition! i agree, marijuana is a therapeutic herb, and noone dies or kills for weed!!! it is a soothing herb, that's all, it should not be criminalized..or withheld from people who benefit from it's therapeutic properties.

I also suffer from this disorder. Most people think that Fibromyalgia is " all in your head ".... that is not so. The Doctors don't know enough about--- they keep learning more about it every day. Various medications are tried to help the patient get relief--- from what I understand, this is a disorder where there is "no cure". If " Mary Jane " works, then it needs to be available to patients... if it's made available for this disorder--- close individual patient monitoring needs to be done.
