WE, THE UNDERSIGNED, IN THE INTERESTS OF THE HUMANE TREATMENT OF DOGS, DO HEREBY PETITION THE CARROLL COUNTY OHIO COMMISSIONERS TO DIRECT THE CARROLL COUNTY DOG WARDEN TO CEASE AND DESIST FROM GASSING DOGS AT THE CARROLL COUNTY POUND AND TO IMMEDIATELY IMPLEMENT EUTHANASIA OF DOGS BY INTRAVENOUS INJECTION.

The one thing that we can be proud of as owners of pets is that we treat them more humanely than their human counterparts when they are suffering and near death. Euthanasia is legal for pets, while it saddens me that animal shelters must put healthy pets down, we must at least ensure that it is done as humanely as possible. Stop the Auschwitz approach and use intravenous injection when there is no other choice.

This is unbelievable! How is this still being allowed to happen? Pets share with us the most important aspects of life...love, trust, respect and friendship! Would you watch someone you cared about suffer such a cruel death?? I think not!! End this now..see how loving homes can be found for those who are lost and how there is a humane way to help those who cannot be saved...cause gassing is not the way!!

gassing is inhumane. theres a reason that we don't gas ppl... its downright wrong. we all heard the holocaust stories about ppl being shoved into gas chambers & the horrible death they suffered...if its cruel & unthinkable for us to do this to people then of course its horrible to do this to defenseless animals.
