Central Square New York Walmart, Fish torture and cruelty.

The walmart in Central Square, NY. Is absolutely disgusting with the fish department. They are selling Saltwater green spotted puffer fish as freshwater. They start out in freshwater, move to brackish*Some salt but not full salt quite yet.* and then to Full Saltwater. All the tanks are full of dead fish and are absolutely disgusting. Fish eating dead fish, overstocked tanks to the point where fish can barely swim, tanks are full of algae and disgusting water, brackish water fiddler crabs are being sold in no water whatsoever in tiny Betta fish cups. The Betta's are about 4 inches and are in 2-3 OZ of water. Most of them are dead dying or sick. As an Aquarist of many many years. This is absolutely sickening to me. They also sell Oscar fish. These guys get about 18 inches and need a 75 gallon tank minimum for *ONE* fish. The cruelty here really makes me very irritated. They also say the Puffer's eat tropical flake food and "prefer 1/8th of a tsp of aquarium salt per gallon" Nope. They need ALOT more salt then that, and aquarium salt is to prevent illnesses in freshwater fish, they also need live Snail's to keep there teeth filed down. They are carnivorous hunters and need bloodworms, shrimp, snails and so many other things. Flakes are not suitable for these species at all. They are selling large fish that live 20 years with all blatantly incorrect information. It's absolutely sickening. They can't stand there and tell me they really make that much money from fish. Walmart sells so many other things that it's not necessary for any of this sickening torture. The tanks are only cleaned when the fish are barely visible. And by the time the water in an aquarium "LOOKS" dirty. It's totally toxic to all of the inhabitant's in the aquarium. I know care2 members here are big on helping prevent animal cruelty. Yes. They are just fish, but fish are living. Breathing creatures. Go to www.walmart.com and "contact us" and submit a complaint by emailing the store directly. Go into the store. Call them. There are so many ways to complain. We need to put more pressure on them to make Walmart stop selling fish altogether. Thank you and have a nice day. Here is all the info including phone number, location, etc. Good luck guys. Lets expose this cruelty and make it STOP! Only sign this petition if you will either email them online, call them, or even go into the store personally if you live by the area. Don't just have an anonymous name and sign this petition please. When signing it either say "I will email them" "I will call them" "I will go into the store personally" Or a mixture of any of these things. I need this torture to stop. The influence on children in this store is horrendous, too. They see these cute little fish in dirty cramped tanks and think that it is proper. And then the Mother or Father eventually buys a fish for the child. And when it dies in a week they assume it was "Sick to begin with" or "Old age" Are they just fish? Yes. But they are living breathing things. It's like tossing puppies in cramped, filthy cages and saying "Okay. Some will die and some we will sell" Thanks care2 members and I'm Sorry this is so long.
