The parking costs here at the University of Windsor are absolutely ridiculous. The worst part is even if you spend the hundreds of dollars on a parking pass for the semester you are not even guaranteed a spot. Some of the spots are so far from the actual campus buildings you have to walk like 25 min just to get to your building.

I believe if we pay tuition and fees then parking should be included. Students have enough to worry about with the rising cost of tuition and the decrease in avaible jobs. I would like to put my best foot forward and not have little things bother or distract me like getting a ticket because I parked in the student parking lot with no decal; because I could not afford to buy one. This is ridiculous and I have enough to worry about already.

Most students don't have the money for parking. Parking should be free for students. Colleges fee students enough without the parking fees. It's not our fault we don't live on campus, or need a car. We shouldn't be fined for such things.

I totally agree we should get cheaper parking at universities, especially GSU. We are already paying a fortune to attend class and then to have to add an extra $140 is crazy.

I have a few questions to ask. Exactly what are these parking fees used for at the University. I too graduated from a college and we had decals which cost $20.00 this was early in the 90's. I also attended education courses at NOVA Community College in VA we had $60.00 decals in the late 90's. This is too expensive for decals. I say if you attend college the decals should be free... find another way to raise the funds for additional cost ... don't charge the students... To get an Education is already too expensive...

Yes, I think that schools execs and board members should always look to find ways to lessen the financial burden for students. However and unfortunately...they rarely look at controling costs/expenses and therefore always end up passing on the financial responsbility to students. They know that students have little to no say regarding fees so it's the easiest option and they won't find against Teachers Unions or give up their yearly salary increases.
