Chile: Gov. To Start Dogs/Cats Killings!

The Michelle Bachelet's Administration has already approved funds to kill all stray dogs and cats of Chile. Bachelet is giving $6.500.000.000 pesos (US$13.000.000), to local authorities to implement their Extermination Law which aims to hunt down, capture and kill all stray dogs and cats throughout Chile. This Government claims that it has "no money" to pay the teachers of this country, but it surely has US$13.000.000 to kill innocent and defenseless animals!
Here in Chile we have no big institutions or entities to look after animals. All the work is done by people who pay with their own money to spay/neuter stray dogs and cats and to buy medecine, medical treatments, foster homes and relocation with families.
Michelle Bachelet and her hunchmen want to throw over board our hard work and all the money and time and effort we have invested trying to save dogs and cats.
They just don't care!
The Law still need the Senate approval and this will be voted soon so we need to gather as much signatures as we can to show them that it's not just us, the crazy and ridiculous Chilean animal lovers, who care about their abominable Law: the whole world is watching and supporting us!
One of Bachelet's Minister, José Viera-Gallo, proposed to kill the dogs and cats in gas chambers. This is unacceptable. We need your voices to join ours and tell this government that we will not take this, that we will fight till the last breath, AND WE WILL!!
Please help us save our babies, we love them, we take care of them, and they are not to blame for the ineptitudes and cruelties of our authorities and politicians who are too lazy and too ignorant to see that mass slaughter is not the answer but a massive spay/neuter programs and the education of the people.

We the undersigned come to show your administration our complete rejection to the Extermination Law of all stray dogs and cats of Chile.
We believe that there are other, more efficient, ways to control the numbers of these animals in the streets (spay/neuter and responsible ownership programs), than killing them all. This will not solve the problem and it constitutes a cruel and horrible way to address this issue.
In a country that takes pride of its advances in economy, there should be no place for such primitive, ignorant, backwards actions.
We demand your Administration to reject this measure and start working with the groups of people who work everyday in easing the pain and suffering of living beings who are born, live and die on the streets throughout our country. If we work together we can find a better solution, a more humane, a more evolved solution to this problem.
