We urgently appeal to you and our Elected Officials to uphold the legal definition of marriage, understanding the lasting union of a man and woman.

The gay-right activists are not fighting just for acceptance on same-sex marriage. They want to redefine marriage. Should it not seem odd that the definition of the institution of marriage as being between a man and woman for the past 6000 years be thrown out for something less than what is natural? Across the United States, gay-right activists are working to redefine the definition of marriage between a man and woman. Keeping same sex couples from marriage is not discrimination, but rather keeping them from discriminating against what is right. Same sex couples should not be rewarded with the benefit of marriage, which the Bible declared that marriage is Holy. Should immoral behavior or any sins be rewarded or promoted with benefits? Societal acceptances of same sex relationships give our children the impressions that these behaviors are good, moral and healthy. Acceptance of homosexual behavior has been condoned in the Bible to the point of receiving the death penalty, Lev: 20:15. All immoral acts were unacceptable before God.

This is one of the sickest things. I try not to judge people for what they do, they are the ones who will have to stand before God and answer for it. But I don't beleive that we should pass laws that would condone immoral, unnatural acts, and allow them to become accepted behavior. I believe if we condone any immoral acts, then we share in the guilt of such acts. We can't stop immoral activity, but as christians, we can't condone it, and that is what making it legal will do.

Good points. Another one is- if homosexuality is natural, then why can't two women or two men actually *have* sex? They can't. It takes a male and a female. Those who support homosexuality are actually trying to fuse the genders into one. They are trying to get women to act like men, and men to act like women, so that there will ultimately be only one mental gender. It makes sense, if you think about it. Now, as to *why* they would want that, I have no clue, but that's to figure out later. Anyway, thank you for starting this petition. God bless.

AMEN!! Even if you take God out of this and marriage had nothing to do with Him...then what would it have to do with??....Children!! Two people being together and having children, but that would mean a man and a woman. Same sex couples can not have children without the help of the opposite sex...the way God made it to be. That's one reason why God made marriage. Some people want to take God out of everything, OK then why do you need to get married at all?? Marriage and God go hand in hand....if you don't want God then you have no NEED to get married. You can call your relationship whatever you want but it will never be a real marriage!!
