The fact is, animals do not naturally ride bicycles, stand on their heads, balance on balls, or jump through rings of fire. To force them to perform these confusing and physically uncomfortable tricks, trainers use whips, tight collars, muzzles, electric prods, bullhooks, and other painful tools of the trade.

We applaud trapeze artists, jugglers, clowns, tightrope walkers, and acrobats, but let's leave animals in peace. Sweden, Austria, Costa Rica, India, Finland, and Singapore have all banned or restricted the use of animals in entertainment is time for U.S. and the rest of the World, to do the same.

I hate circuses that involve animals!!!! how could anyone possibly enjoy and be naive enough watching elephants stand on their heads?? or tigers (who have a fear of fire) jump through hoops?? what is this world coming to??!! people need to be educated about the real truth of these poor animals at circuses. It's really not fair...and animals belong in the wild!!! it's 2009!!! not medievil times!!! I hope and pray this petition will have an impact....thank goodness there are some people out there who care for our creatures...if we all stick together and fight this...surely we can win and circuses that involve animals will be a thing of the past...tell everyone you know about the cruelty involved.

I hate circuses....lets all put an end to circuses that involve animals?! Boswell circus in South Africa is quite alarming...seeing 6 huge beautiful tigers in a cage that isn't big enough to move around in, spending their whole lives in there, the only time they were allowed to come out is to go and entertain humans. Why don't they have any choice? they say that they don't allow them hardly any exercise cause it makes them harder to train. Nasty, selfish greedy people. Lets all pull together and shut on only Brian Boswell's circus, but every one of them.....

Animals do not belong in circuses. They are not here to entertain us. It makes my blood boil to know that these poor innocent creatures are forced into a life they wouldn't choose. Leave wild animals alone....in the wild!!! circuses are medievil and old fashioned...and you'd think that in our day and age, it would be a thing of the past...because it's extremely cruel. Why don't some people get it?! no animal loves or enjoys doing something so abnormal to them...like jumping through a hoop? or standing on one leg? animals who are made to do these things, do it because they are scared not to....and if they don't, then they are usually beaton or proded. I agree!!! A circus is no place for an animal. Animals are sentient creatures just the same way that we are and they feel and perceive stress and pain in the same ways that we do. They also experience loneliness. Having animals in a circus for our entertainment is down right wrong and not justified. There are so may other acts that can be performed at a circus that would not require live animals and they would just as entertaining. Now is the time to show compassion and mercy. I never liked Circus for just that reason - using animals for people entertainment causing them so much pain and torture.Even being released from the circus after time they remain traumatized for life...The price these poor animals pay for people amusement is too big...
