What will you do to protest against the cost of gas to send a clear message to the oil companies that we won't tolerate being extorted by the oil giants and the politicans who make millions as the cost of oil goes up while we pay the price?

The oil companies have continued to have lower exploration costs and higher profits each and every quarter. They are blatently exploiting their consumers who depend on gasoline in order to work to pay their bills. Somewhere along the line, they decided that it is okay to be greedy because they realized that everyone will grumble but still pay--its time to put a stop to this and regulate the oil companies. I believe in capitalisim and a business' right to earn a profit but there comes a time where caps need to be put in place when they abuse their power.

I as many will not be able to travel for pleasure at all with gas prices the way they are. It is a dire state that we Americans are in. I broke my wrist. I live in a very small town and must travel 260 miles round trip just to see a specialist. Tell me how any one can aford the gas prices we are paying. President Bush make it right regulate the oil companys. Cap the gas prices before we are in a major depression!!!!

I moved in walking distance of necessary resources and do not plan on getting a car soon. When I use my friend's car I drive a bit slower and value riding down hills where I don't need to step on the gas.

Give the people alternatives to oil. Restrict oil companies profit margins and limit Ceos income. Mandate percentage of profit to research and generate clean alternatives to oil.

Stop restricting the MPG that cars and trucks get. All my cars from my 72 VW Bug, to my 85 Ford Escort to my 88 Chevy Caviler to my 97 Sentra have gotten in and around 35 mpg. Stop putting a ceiling on mpg to pad your pockets.

With the way the major oil companies are extorting excessive profits by hiking gas prices here in America I am suprised not to see their corporate headquarters burning on the news any day now If gasoline can be 14 cents per gallon in Venezuela it can cost the same per gallon in America !!!
