Save more water by taking shorter showers, but not watering your lawns when it rains, and by making sure that your sprinklers water your plants and not the sidewalks. Just shorten your showers by 2 minutes, and you'll save a ton of water. Since Southern California is entering a drought period for the 3rd year in a row, starting June 1, sprinkler use will be limited to Mondays and Thursdays (I think) and other restrictions will be applied as well.
