Corporate Hypocrites

Corporate Hypocrites

Target:
5000

Hi! I'm Dr. Rowland Benjamin from Information for action (www.informaction.org)

In recent decades, large corporations have grown to become amongst the most powerful entities in the world. General Motors economy, for example, is larger than Denmark. While governments are directly responsible to their citizens, corporations are responsible only to their shareholders. Those shareholders' main, and normally sole interest is profit.

The profit motive has a terrible impact on social issues like human rights and the environment. Corporations are required by law to always act in the best interests of their shareholders, and that is almost always interpreted as keeping profits and the share price high. The issue of corporate responsibility is a relatively new one and companies are now clambering over themselves to prove their green credentials. A lot of their energy is going into 'greenwash'. 'Greenwash' is defined as disinformation disseminated by an organization so as to present an environmentally responsible public image. Many corporations spend more money on environmental public relations than the actual act of building sustainability.

Please sign this petition in order to urge governments around the world to implement more rules and regulations against these profit-minded corporates!

Respected Sir/Madam, it is one of the major problems that the customers and the patients are getting everything at the retail prices, which are so huge that almost half of it goes to the manufacturing and marketing. The customers do not have to pay for it, but all are bound to do so. Moreover, the one retailers earn so much by just picking the bag from the factory to the selling platform that it also goes to those, who aim is to earn more than most educated, experts and yet unemployed people striving all over the world. The most educated are getting poorer and stressful, while just the supplier is getting the major credits. One of the reasons for it is also lack of direct marketing. You see the farmers all over the world get the products produced by their farms as a labeled packet getting almost the double from the cost they sell it in the unprocessed form. It is giving a hard hit to them. They cannot sell it because the marketers will not allow or guide about it fearing the great loss. Such problems are worse than the real economic depression and the farmers and manufacturers are committing suicide. What solution can we have for them as fellow humans? Let us think about it. Thanks! Big Businesses and Shareholders are Corrupt to the Core.. This is Another Disgusting Example of their ties to Big Business Corruption and Crimes against Humanity!!”. Ridiculous Pork barrel Policy Twisting Fanatics!! We Will All Distribute This Page to Big Media and Start Letting those “Useless Talking Heads on TV News” know what’s really worth reporting to the world… Each year Americans throw away 25 billion Styrofoam cups! That is enough to circle the Earth 436 times. Styrofoam is not biodegradable and leaks toxins into underground water supplies beneath landfills. Some landfills incinerate their trash, which in turn produces millions of tons of polystyrene ending up as toxic airborne ash. Even though Styrofoam cups are labelled with a # 6, it is not accepted in most curbside recycling programs. If a company is able to recycle it, it is only done in small quantities due to the high costs. When stored or heated (like your piping hot cup of Dunkin' Donuts joe) packaging such as Styrofoam may leach the potential carcinogen styrene into the food or drinks that container is holding. When is it going to happen? When will MAKE COMPANIES AND BUSINESSES ECO-FRIENDLY AND cruelty-free. It is absolutely terrible that you continue to work this way with no mind of the animals and environment. Why do you not care, how many times can you tell us global conscious people that you are working on it, how about just doing it. STOP LETTING COMPANIES THAT DELIEVER THEIR PRODUCTS ALL OVER THE WORLD, USE TOXIC PLASTIC AND Styrofoam PACKAGING (horrendous environment destructive materials that are not biodegradable to be package fillers, IT’S KILLING US ALL. Packaging suppliers have stepped up their research in the production and sources of biodegradable packaging so there are many to find, you just have to look and you will find. Biodegradability is the ability of a substance to be broken down into simpler structures by living organisms, thus reducing its life in the environment. Thus reducing the destruction of it as well.
