The American public must be informed of the Country of Origin for all consumable products and product ingredients, not just a select few.
The American public must be informed of the Country of Origin for all consumable products and product ingredients, not just a select few.
We the undersigned believe strongly that the American public must be informed of the Country of Origin for all consumable products and product ingredients, not just a select few. It's seems like every other month now, another revelation is made about some ingredient or food product that endangers our health or the health of our pets. It's beyond the time to demand that our lawmakers do something about it.
I urge you to promote and support bills that will bring this much needed legislation to fruition.
We signed the "Country of Origin Labeling for All Food Ingredients Issue" petition!

Since we are not adequately protected by our government agencies, we must have sufficient information to make our own decisions as to the safety of the food we eat and feed to our families.

I have been reading about melamine poisoning in milk powder added to products manufactured in China and the increased incidences of kidney issues in American children (a symptom of melamine poisoning). I have read many reports of recalled toys manufactured in China, and retail products have country of origin labeling. I have yet to see reports by the FDA and Consumer Product Safety Commission showing test results of imported food products. Why do we have more information about retail products than food products? This makes no sense to me as a consumer and parent. We should have as much information as possible about imported food products and food products containing imported ingredients. This is the health of our children! This issue cannot be ignored. We deserve the right to know what is in the food we feed our children. The first thing that must be done is to require that all food have a country of origin label. Even if only one ingredient is imported, a country of origin label must be required.

I agree, especially now with another scandal from China. You must let people know!

this should be enacted worldwide,we could then buy what we want and ignore what we dont, give us proper and complete labelling, including if the product was tested or researched on animals, this should also be on label, make companies honest with labelling and not the misleading labelling we have now,we want the truth and not the lies we get now.
