When we took four month old Napoleana into the vet, it was already too late. She had eaten the Tiger Lilies that were in a vase on our kitchen table, causing complete kidney failure. When the Vets told us that Lilies are extremely toxic and nearly always fatal if not treated in mere hours, we were shocked. I've never seen posters in pet stores or warning labels in grocery stores. Yet, the ASPCA clearly states on their web site that these plants will kill cats who eat them. By the time you find the info on the ASPCA or Humane Society web site, it is too late. Before you can Google your cat's symptoms, the toxins have already taken affect. Maybe if local grocery stores, pet stores and vets agree to put up a poster like the one here, we can save more lives like our poor, sweet Napoleana.
