Branson is a great tourist attraction and so is the Frisco Railraod Museum in Springfield, Missouri. With high gasoline prices, some people prefer to ride the train.
Springfield, Missouri is a growing collage town, Branson, Missouri is a tourist town. And gasoline prices continue to rise. There are lots of pople that at times perfer to ride the train. And now days, people are turning to the rails in record numbers. As gas prices continue to rise, people will be sticking with the train. Plus, there are tourist attractions along the BNSF Cuba sub. In Sullivan, you have Meremac Caverns. Plus there are collages along the line as well. Even in the Fall, people turn to Silver Dollar City for the craft fair and in the winter, they turn to Branson for Christmas light tours.

In the name of tourism development we all are promoting damages to many natural resources including the wildlife. this is happening all over the world. It is very pathetic to know how serious this issue is. So dear TOURISTS ONLY YOU CAN SAVE /PROTECT WILDLIFE. Do the best to protect wildlife. I do not think the officials in this regard may take any positive steps!

Taking the train would be great. If Amtrak would build even two routes, one as a regular bi-level Superliner train and another one as an Auto Train like on the East coast but using bi-level Superliner cars, it would help take lots of cars off of I-44, and the traveling public would get some up close and personal views of wildlife in the forests. My folks agree and if it would be placed into service they would be taking the Auto Train run to Branson, by loading loading the Durango, the boat and themselves on the train and they would detrain at Springfield, and drive the rest of the way to Branson.
