We the undersigned are petitioning the US Government for a redress of grievances as it relates to the destruction of families and its relationships by every state through legislation, and court rulings that have taken the single most important entity in this society, the family, and put it into a state of complete turmoil.
We want governmental funding to be redirected so that it perpetuates ongoing parent, child and family relationships.

My husband has 2 children to his former wife. He always pays support on time, pays more than required by law, pays for the children's activities, and yet we never get to see the children and are always being threatened with being taken back to domestics for more money. I feel like we are being extorted and blackmailed and all of this is legal under the Pennsylvania State Law. She has broked into our home, physically assaulted me, and been under investigation for welfare fraud...yet she still collects welfare, and we never get to see the children. My husband and I are hard-working, very honest and quiet people. We don't deserve to be treated this way and the state is so backwards in its laws that time and time again, mothers are rewarded for not working, failing to provide for their own children, and making their ex-husband's lives unmanageable. Please pass reforms for family court. I know we are not the only ones who are suffering as a result of archaic state laws that ALWAYS side with the mother.

i've been separeded for 4 years, when my ex found out that i was daiting someone after almost 2 years of separation, she went to my house with my 3 and 7 year old kids. She slapped me, she insulted me, she told me that it was not fear that i was doing my life as a single without taking care of my kids (i am never going to forget my sons face trying to calm down his mother and scared at the same time). The true is i am a very responsible father, i never cheted on my ex wife, i have no problems with child support, but after that incident my oldest son doestn't want to see me anymore, he repits his mothers words constantly, "you don't care about us, you left home, etc, etc," She has distroyed my life. i am trying so hard to talk to her asking her for help, so she can help my to changed my son, but didn't work, when i finally did after a year of struggling, the therapist (who told me that my ex was so hard to talk to and that my son is deeply deppressed, he has no self-steem) recently told us it would be much better if i give up on my kids for a while. "UNBELIEVABLE"!!!!!!!!!!! Now that i convenced my ex to help me, the therapist is suggesting this, so now everything is falling apart again.... Can somebody tell me if it is right to destroy a father's and son's life for ignorance, bitterness, immaturity, etc, etc....... I know i am not the only one out there, there's a lot of fathers how have lost their kids because of their mother.........

Now, she is living with a suicidal step parent and there is nothing I can do about it because I'm bankrupt from defending myself in court for the past 6 years. In the child's best interest? My boys live 3 miles away and I have not seen them in over two years. I have not received an alimony check in over a year yet I pay my child support on time every week. As a C4/C5 quadriplegic and try to play by the rules but court reform is long overdue. They call this and the best interests of the child? This is a picture of my boys wishing me a happy birthday from their neighbors house while the neighbor took a picture and mailed it to me. So sad. |

I am a father who pays ALL his child support, and yet the court in Ashalnd County, Ohio continually turns a blind eye to the denials of parenting time and the damage she is doing to my relationship with my children. The previous administration in Ashland found her in contempt of court, after her denying my time with them for over 4 years, and it was upheld by the fifth district court of appeals. I have returned to court, where she was now found not to be in contempt again against the manifest weight of the evidence, and again she is denying my time with them. This administration needs to understand that there ARE fathers out there who love their kids and WANT to be in their lives. I divorced their mom, not them, and what the court is doing it pure laziness and wrong. I pray daily something will come along and whip these courts into shape to make them understand that when you say it is important that BOTH parents remain in the lives of the kids MEAN it, don't just treat the other parent like a paycheck.

The "guidelines" are unjust in most cases, leaving the non-custodial parent paying for the majority of the child's care, and even if the custodial parent works, he/she most likely will have a higher standard of living than the non-custodial parent. Although the child may live with one parent more, they still need a place to stay when they go to the other parents house! TIME FOR CHANGE= NOW!

Fathers have rights to raise their children too !!!! This needs to stop now!! This system is disgusting!!! The mothers get all the rights and all the money no matter if they are right or wrong. My husband has been payin so much support that we barley survive meanwhile he has no had rights to see his daughter in over 7yrs!!! Please help make this injustice stop!!!!

Something needs to be done immediately to reform this system and to bring back some equalities in parenting.God meant for there to be 2 parents, not 1 parent and a hostage(wanted for their bank account only).
