Al-Sayed Al-Essawy is an Egyptian man who bought a lion and intended to fight it to "promote" egyptian tourism.

After a global outcry, in which I participate by sending e-mails to egyptian entities, I received an e-mail from travel@touregypt.net, with a link to http://www.touregypt.net/. This is the message on the website.
"The Ministry of the Interior continues to monitor the situation with Al-Sayed Al-Essawy and his intentions to fight a lion on the 25th of June.  The Ministry is monitoring to ensure that the event does not take place, neither in public, nor in a private location as there is much speculation about.
We will continue to monitor updates about this subject and bring them to you as they become available."

However, as you can see in this video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_UeYm1mgKgg - the man was not stopped! WHY? The Ministry of the Interior promised to stop this madness. Please sign this petiton so we all can remind the Egyptian Government the promises made, sign if you want the Government to save the lion and take him to a sanctuary.

We, the undersigned, remind the Egyptian Goverment of its promise not to let Al-Sayed Al-Essawy fight a lion. There is video proof that he actually did fight the lion http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_UeYm1mgKgg.

We Demand The Lion to Be Rescued and Taken To Sanctuary!
