For too long now a gas, coal and oil industry campaign of disinformation, aided and abetted by the Bush administration, has kept meaningful policies from being adapted to halt Climaticide (global warming). It also deluded the public into thinking that Climaticide is a minor problem whose repercussions, if any, will only be felt in the far-off future. The Mainstream Media, at once ill-informed and cowed by corporate sponsors whose advertising they fear to lose, fails to draw the correct conclusions from the events they report. They provide the details but none of the context, telling us about killer tornadoes in Atlanta, fires in California and Arizona, droughts in the Southwest and floods in the Midwest without ever mentioning climate change. It is time to change that policy now! We demand that the Mainstream Media tell the truth: Climate change is Climaticide and Climaticide is making extreme weather more intense.

It is not just the climate scientists that are saying the planet is warming, but much of the biosphere is trying to respond to rising temperatures. Plants are flowering two weeks earlier where long term records have been kept. Alpine creatures and plants are climbing higher (and how much higher on a mountain can you go?). Warm water crabs are infiltrating the benthic areas of the Antarctic, posing deadly problems to the penguins and other animals that depend upon the organisms these interlopers are attacking.
