We, the people hereby affirming by our signatures thereof, ask that our country's government start proceedings to seperate New York City from the State of New York.
We request this be done so that New York City can become a self sustaining part of the United States of America as Washington, DC has become and thus allow the remaining body of New York State to flourish without the burden of sustaining this great city.
