Do we Need The Lord's Prayer?

I believe we should follow suit & recite a non-denominational prayer or have a moment of silence to gather their thoughts and understand the importance of their jobs/role in our government. (Both the House of Commons and the Senate recite non-denominational prayers.)

A prayer can be anything from the silent one, to the written one, and even those on the run. If that prayer is from the heart. Why not Honor it, Respect it, and Trust that it did come from the heart? Something's inconsistent here... I believe **we** should follow suit & recite a non-denominational prayer or have a moment of silence to gather **their** thoughts. A moment of silence maybe, but not a prayer - even "non-denominational". I don't think our paid MPPs should be talking to an imagionary friend on our time.
