Dolphins in Captivity in Bodrum

Captive dolphins at Turkish water park lead a miserable existence
British tourists pay Ł50 to swim with scarred and stressed dolphins that are caged in small 10m x 20m pools.

Quote from email recieved 7 July 2008 from Mr Sean Owen ( Sustainable Product Manager TUI Travel UK & Ireland ):
"Upon publication of the Daily Mirror article (from June 1st) TUI immediately suspended their collaboration, pending an inspection that took place two days later. Susequently, we have not had any dealing whatsoever with the business."  end of quote.

It is therefore requested that no further comments regarding TUI be made in this petition , and that it now be soley targeted towards the dolphin park regarding the welfare of the dolphins in their care.
Thank you.

We the undersigned are appalled at the way in which the dolphins in Balik Dolphin Park, Bodrum are kept.
We urge that only if it is impossible to release them back into the sea that larger pools be made available, 10m x 20m pools are totally unacceptable.
We will continue to petition and boycott this park and also to make this cruelty known throughout the world via the internet until we are satistfied that changes have been made in the dolphins best interests.
