DOME OUR SKATEPARK PARK CITY

The Park City skate park was built here 7 years ago and has been covered in snow for three years now and all the kids I've watched grow up here are progressing at a fast rate which makes me wonder. If the skatepark was temporarily domed for each winter our skate community could keep growing year round and all of the locals that have been skating this park since day one could keep the progression going.  At the end of every summer the month before it starts snowing every local is starting to step things up in their skate game, and unfortunately for us our start of our progression stops and we are forced to wait it out till spring time, or when the city decides they want to dig out the park. This has got to stop!!! Our $700,000 world class skate park is being weathered and destroyed each and every winter, not only that its not being skated and that should be a sin in my book. Here are the Pro's of why this should get done NOW! 1. The progression of our youth 2. Cross training w/ snowboarding and skiing 3. All the co2 we inhale from cars on deervalley and park ave. driving by.4. Keep kids out of trouble5. Kids will have exercise through the winter 6. The city can keep their skate clinics running year round7. Skate shops can sell skate product year round8. Parents would have a safe and free place to drop off there kids 9. There are 3x the pro's out here during the winter which would mean more proffesional Demo's.10. Year round contest and the progression of bigger and better competitions.11. Gives opportunity to promote any Company or sponsors  through Demo's Competitions, Bands performing for charity. Good place to get money raised.12. Make people like me and all skaters feel  like this town does care about the future for us skaters.13. The snowboard scene and the ski scene get recognized nationally, so should the skate scene, we already have the park, its a no brainer.14. The snow&skate scene are so tightly knit in this community that it is a givin to make this happen.15. Everyone  in Park city that skates is so passionate about skateboarding16. If you could make snow year round on the mountains would'nt you if it were as easy as putting up a dome. $20,000. Yeah!17. All the pro's that live here only in the winter would be there every day inspiring us all.18. It would bring publicity to park city.19. All the big name companies that would benefit from it.20. The Dome would be white so it could never be an eyesore because it would be invisible with all the snow.21. The Dome would also block out the sound of skateboarding to the houses across the street. 22. The access  to the park gets plowed every year anyway23. We use solar panels to light the place in the evening and to heat 24. Its a win win opportunity for us people so lets do this for the kids!
   The list goes on so please sign this petition, the future for these kids depends on us to get this done. Lets make this happen. This is the next movement for skate boarders in resort towns. World class Domed concrete skate parks.  And I'm not stopping here. This is just the Beginning....
