Draft Roubini for U.S. Treasury Secretary

Nouriel Roubini is Professor of Economics at the Stern School of Business at NYU and Chairman of RGE Monitor.
Prior to and throughout the current financial crisis, Professor Roubini, who as been studying the mechanics of economic meltdowns for decades, had been warning of the imminent likelihood of our current situation. He published the 12 steps to financial meltdown before they happened, and then they all happened, as he predicted.
Consistently, Professor Roubini has been suggesting sound, and well thought out concrete steps toward a resolution and solution to move the economy back to a place of balance. While politicians scratched their heads, grandstanded, and the like, he was prescribing specific steps and actions which would be useful in the aftermath of the meltdow--just as he had been detailing in advance the structure of the meltdown itself.
The goal of this petition is to urge the next President of the United States to select Professor Roubini as Treasury Secretary, so that the Country's fiscal policy can be guided by a sound and sensible academic economist, instead of by a multibillionaire banker.
