Eagles Fans Against Michael Vick

Target:
Philadelphia Eagles Organization
NO TO MICHAEL VICK

Michael Vick has been signed to the Eagles for a 2 year deal after he has been convicted of abusing and killing dogs for sport. It's a disgrace to the Philadelphia Eagles fans to make the assumption that we would excuse his past behavior and welcome him to our city.

Michael Vick is not welcome in Philadelphia - a city that already has a problem with dog fighting. As Eagles fans, we want to let you know that we are disgusted that you would condone such behavior. He should not be seen as a role model for the youth of our city. Philadelphia sports fans already have a bad reputation in this city and actions such as yours do not help the situation.

This petition requests the removal of Michael Vick as an Eagles player. He is not worthy to wear that jersey.

At the very least, he should donate his time and money to the helpless dogs in Philly's animal shelters. Please be that role model by inspiring them to take a stand against wrongful action instead of condoning it.

Dear Eagles Fans Against Michael Vick,
Thank you so much for your support! We have exceeded our goal with over 5,300 signatures. Today we close the petition - the first day Michael Vick plays football in an Eagles jersey.

I will be delivering our petition to not only the Eagles organization but also the Eagles youth organization and corporate sponsors. Although Michael Vick is still playing with the Eagles, I believe that this petition along with the protests and boycotts can have a positive impact on the animal abuse situation. I am hoping that Michael Vick will be forced to bring awareness to the issue and donate his money to Philly animal shelters.

If you have the time to volunteer or donate, I suggest we band together to help our shelters as a sign that as a city, we care for our animals: http://www.phillypaws.org/

Thank you for your support,
Tania - Philly Dog Lover

The dog fighting is unconscionable to me. Many don't have the conscience or concern for dogs, which I lament. But to those I say- look at Pete Rose, one of the most beloved players in baseball history, banned for life for his involvement in gambling. Vick's leadership role in this gambling ring is yet another justification to keep him the hell out of our sight.

Is not fair. If vick whould had kill humans. Would you let him play a game he loves. He did not kill humans he knew that others where killing dogs and did nothing to stop it. When you look at your dog or any dog. Do you care that he is a dog and not a human. Would you let a prisoner go a play a game he loves and enjoy. He is getting pay millions of dollars to play again. Is that fair to the dogs and the people that cleaned up the mess. Yes he is entitle to go on with his life. So lets give the same opportunity to every single person that is in JAIL. Or strungling out of JAIL for a JOB!!!!!

He hasn't suffered enough. He should be banned from playing professional football forever. He lost that right when he committed this heinous crime.

He is always commenting that he has learned his lesson and wants to become part of the solution and not the problem.....than why isn't he out there doing it? Until he shows me that he actually is sorry for what he did....he is a scum bag that does not deserve to be in the limelight.

So sad that Andy Reid can't determine the difference in someone who would use drugs on their own bodies (his children) and a man who tortured, mutilated, starved, fought, drowned, hung, electrocuted and beat dogs to death for his fun for OVER 7 YEARS. I hope the Eagles lose every game this season. It is disgusting that some won't recognize what it says about Sick Vick to know that he did these horrible, reprehensible, disturbing things to animals for his entertainment.

He should be banned

I don't think Michael Vick has earned his right to play yet. Most people come out of jail and do loads of community service and actually suffer before they are rewarded with their old jobs. This should be no exception. This is the problem with America. We give rights to people who don't deserve them, and take them away from those who do.

His behavior was inexcusable. He paid his debt to society but it still doesn't ease what he did to those innocent dogs. His debt to those dogs is banishment from what he enjoys doing most! Banned for life from playing pro football. A horrible role model!!!

Michael Vicks should not be permitted to return to the NFL. He should be removed from the Sports arena.

No one should cheer for this sadistic, cruel, poor excuse for a human being. Let's get him off the Eagles and out of the NFL.

This goes for all violent criminals in the NFL.

For me, it will be so easy to boycott the NFL. I am not an Eagles fan but I was born in Pennsylvania and cannot believe that this man could be "conditionally" reinstated to the NFL. He is such a disgrace that I cannot even consider him "human."

Once Vick has been doused with gasoline, lit on fire and watched running around a field until he drops just like the numerous dogs he did that to. Then, by all means, have fun in the NFL. But until then, it is a disgrace to the Eagles and the NFL to have him play.

He is a disgusting human being and I am severely disappointed in the NFL and the Eagles for allowing him to continuing playing. He abused and disrespected innocent animals for sport and is being rewarded after a brief stint in prison. It's sick!

I do not believe Michael Vick deserves a second chance. He profited off of the brutalization, rape, and murder of innocent animals. I am appalled that the NFL would reinstate him, and as a resident of Philadelphia, I am sad and disappointed that this criminal would be allowed to represent our city in the national arena. I am not only boycotting the Eagles, but all of their sponsors as well until Michael Vick is removed from the team.

What Mr. Vick did was wrong.

Why should you be given a second chance..What about the dogs you killed, they never got a second chance and neither should you..You deserve nothing, you deserve a life in prison without parole and you deserve nothing but a life with thought and dreams of what you did to those animals. You are not sorry for what you did, you are sorry that you got caught..You are not a man, you are a pathetic POS and should sit in prison with other people who have murdered people!!!

It is a DISGRACE that this callous, brutal SOCIOPATH is allowed back into the NFL. I cannot believe that of all teams in the NFL, he had to be picked up by our team. This man took pleasure inflicting pain and suffering by viciously beating and killing innocent companion animals who want nothing buy love and a good home. Then, he had the nerve to say that he grew up with this kind of behavior, and therefore it was normal to him. Are you serious? That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. So now if he abuses people the way he did animals (which is likely to happen because those who abuse animals are very likely to also abuse people) he will just say, "Oh, since I grew up with this behavior, I thought it was normal." And then the will say "Ok, no problem, you deserve another chance."
