Craigslist.org has become so popular that it has supplanted newspaper classified ads around the United States and around the world. The free model is good.
However, the fact that Craiglist.org allows flagging has morphed from an idealist way for citizens to police a free site, to a small nuisance, to significant harassment, of honest ad-posters of hiring and those seeking work, and other categories, that it is significantly interfering with business, employment, and commerce across the United States.
Experience has shown that some of the public at large on craigslist significantly are not perfect arbiters of which ads need to eliminated.
We implore Craig list to fully eliminate flagging and replace it with a better model, which could include a (color coded) ratings system or other.
This petition is also a petition to all the states', and other, Attorneys General around the United States and other Attorneys General to implore Craigs list or use more sufficient means, if necessary to eliminate flagging.
