Boycott Milk!! -- End the "Guantanamo" for Cows

We are asking you to ask the Dairy Farmers of Ontario, and all Farmers of the world, to end the cruel and inhumane practise of using Electric Shock Bars over dairy cows backs which SHOCK the dairy cow every time the cow naturally humps her back to urinate or poo. At the same time, we are asking you to release the cows tail restraints so that she may swish flies and/or itches. We believe these practises amount to "cruel and unusual punishment" of the innocent cows who have never done anyone any harm. We also believe these heinous torture tools do not add to product quality and are solely for the convenience of the farmer, allowing you to spend less time cleaning behind your cows and thus allowing you to have more cows to treat this miserable way.
"Water boarding" has been banned in Guantanamo -- it is time that these torturous crimes against the defenceless dairy cows of Ontario, Canada, and all countries practising such crimes is ended as well!
The cows deserve better, the consumers deserve better, and You the farmer deserve SUCH A BETTER nights sleep knowing that you are doing "RIGHT" for your cows. You and I know your cows have done their best for you!
Until such time that these wrongs against the dairy cows of Ontario, Canada, and the world are righted WE, the consumers PROMISE to do everything in our power to reduce our Milk and other dairy product consumption..... "Pinky Swear"

We the undersigned are asking you the Dairy Farmers of Ontario (DFO) to immediately disconnect and remove the "Shock Bars"and "Tail Restraints" from your "Tie Stall" dairy cow barns in Ontario Canada. We find your practice of shocking dairy cows to keep them from naturally humping their back to Urinate and Poo totally unacceptable. In our opinion the practice of restraining the dairy cows tail so that she cannot naturally "swish" an itch or flies amounts to "cruel and unusual punishment", Quite like tying a humans hands and putting them in a fly infested environment. We understand that the "sole reason" for these "Barbaric" practices is the convenience of the Farmer and these practices do not contribute in any positive way to the welfare of the cows or the milk quality. This type of "torture" would NOT even be allowed in Guantanamo, you must end it NOW! Your ending these practices would require very little time an NO capital cost. Until you do end these practices, we the consumers of your milk products PROMISE to do everything we can to reduce our milk consumption.
Thank you for listening, ending these barbaric practices, and doing so in a timely fashion.
I am doing my best to become vegan, and am trying to get as many others to do so as well. However, if you treat your cows the way you should, I might pull back - a little. Treat your cows like the assets they are. What would you do without them?
There are a lot of great responses to this, 'Practice'. There isn't a word strong enough to describe how I feel about this, this, cruelty. How can anyone do this to these calm and peaceful animals? Why are they allowed to do this when there are laws against cruelty to animals, like cats and dogs? Is it because they aren't pets who live in our homes?? Oh, they're just dumb animals and who gives a s--t anyway. I can imagine this is the kind of response you'd get from these torturers! I've had a lot of physical pain and it upsets me to the point of tears when I put myself in the cow's position. This torture HAS TO STOP!!

Why have we become so cruel?
This is so wrong on so many levels. I can tell you I can definitely give up milk. It would never be worth drinking it. We should never treat any living creature this way. Factory Farming will kill all of us in the long run. I am ashamed that this kind of cruelty goes on. I think it is horrible that anyone would condone this!!!! Our God that created us never intended for his creatures to be treated this way!!!!
Cows are not machines, they are living creatures with a fully developed emotional world. Their brains fire off the same emotional circuits as our own and they are mammals as we are. They may not have the intelligence we have to understand their feelings or why they are being treated this way, but they do feel as fully as we do. This brutal treatment towards the cows also has a damaging effect to the humans in charge. Studies have shown that this sort of torturous interaction increases violence in the human being and lowers their quality of life. This has a systemic affect on all of life.
The practice of tying the cows tails and shocking them into holding in their own excrements is horrendous. The milk from these cows can't be healthy when the cows themselves are under extreme stress and not able to eliminate waste from their systems. There is a huge disconnect in the thinking that allows this practice and believes it is producing a food worthy of consumption. Stress impairs the body, weakens the immune system and sets the animal up for disease. Who would want to make food from an animal under this type of duress?
No, these practices are inhumane and barbaric. The cows give us without expecting any "reward"; and we "punish" them? Isn't it time we, humans, moved on past the barbaric practices?
No It is not. Stop cruelty to animals especially cows.

This is a disgrace to human kind and it is extremely cruel to the animals. Humans were not made to ingest cows milk. We only needed milk when we were infants, and that was humans milk. Cows milk causes so may problems to the human body, and it is also extremely cruel and it needs to be stopped. I haven't had a glass of cows milk for so long. Instead I drink almond, soy or rice milk. These are far better alternatives that are healthier and certainly humane. Farmers who do this to a living sentient creature and then deceive the world ought to be ashamed and change their ways. This treatment of the cow is simply put: WRONG, and I truly hope that the world wakes ups from its stupor and does something to change the fate of these incredible animals.
we are the only species on the planet that consumes another species breast milk. Yuck! Just go Vegan!
Another shameful example of getting more for less at the expense of the lesser creatures of the world. I hate milk and now have a reason for my boycott of dairy products.

We are the only species in the world that consumes the milk of another species - why?? We are also the only species who drinks milk past the weaning stage - only infants should drink milk, and it should be their mother's milk - period. We don't need cow's milk at all, despite what the dairy boards would have you believe. The countries with the highest incidences of osteoporosis are those countries who consume the most milk & milk products - doesn't that tell you something?? Let's STOP exploiting animals needlessly to feed us - we don't need to eat meat or drink milk to be healthy. This is a proven fact!!
