Women are owned by men, children are used for day labour, traffiking in female and child sex slaves continues - the list is horrendous and too long to complete!! At http://www.womenepal.org/ you can see the work of the Women's Foundation, fighting in the trenches, for the rights of Women and Children. Warning: There are some graphic photos.
Sign up - indicate your outrage (or just a gentle desire) to have Nepal join the worldwide movement to protect women and children from abuse. Your comments may be selected for the cwcr.org web site!
How many people can you get to sign this petition. We want ten thousand signatures - which is a pitifully small number of supporters in a world with billions upon billions of people! Your signature will make a difference. Politicians in Nepal are listening and talking with us. HELP NOW!!
Your statement to the government of Nepal will help ensconce rights for women and children. Back up your desire to help with action. Sign this petition. Support change!!
Many Nepali cultural habits will take a generation to change - we must start somewhere - Now is the time.
Don't you agree? A growing number of NGO's in Nepal are in agreement. Go to http://www.cwcr.org/ to read about the work of supporting NGO's in Nepal. When you sign on, leave a coment. It may be selected for use on the cwcr.org web site (country attribution only).

We, who have signed this petition to support protections for women and children in the new Nepali constitution take our voice seriously. We do make a difference and you can too.
It takes only a minute. And then you can breathe easier knowing that you did what you could.
IF you have decided to sign, please do it now. I fyou are on the fence thinking this is a scam, a way to harvest information - give it a second thought. No change comes in this world when we act out of suspicion and fear - it happens when we boldly go where too few are willing to go (Yes, a Star Trek reference!).
We need 10,000 signatures so ti also requires that many of our signers talk with others about also sogning and encouraging their friends to take a moment and make a difference.
We, the signers feel that taking part in building the future is a responsibility that we can not pass up. Help shape the world. Take part in the eRally for Women and Children in Nepal right now.
Change how you about your place in the world - relief is just a click away!
We signed the "eRally for Women's and Children's rights in Nepal" petition!

WE all have rights whether man, woman or child. No man has a right to strike or abuse women or children because of an outdated social structure.

Fighting for rights is not a easy thing since the socity is lead by male-dominated, blind believer, and very conservative society like Nepal but the way you are doing is very effective, essential, and prograssive. I personally would appreciate your efforts and admire your hard labour. Personally myself am not able to be join with there but my posative will always with you and try to contribute as much as I can. Thanks you!!!

We visited Nepal and were impressed by its beauty and friendly citizens but also appalled to see for ourselves how women were treated like slave labour and required to consider their husbands as master and lord. We need to help these people attain the dignity and respect that should be theirs.

I would like to hear, to participate and to creat this kinds of rally, events that really helps us specally in our situation where most of the population is unliterate.

The websites of the Women's Foundation of Nepal and the Coalition for Women's and Children's Rights compel us world-wide to support the constitutional discussions in Nepal to include human rights broadly and specifically women's and children's rights.

I visited Nepal for the first time last year and was struck by the palpable sense of pride and progress in the people as a whole, and among the women in particular. Everywhere we went, from the heart of Kathmandu to rural villages, we saw young girls in braids and uniforms learning English, learning computer skills, we heard of the women banding together to protect and increase their rights. It is organizations like the Women's Foundation that are the driving force behind this change. You have my heartfelt support in all of your endeavors, and my thanks for the contribution you make to all womenkind.

I am one of the founding members of the Women痴 Foundation of Nepal. And I am part of the team of people continuing to raise awareness of the difficult situations still being experienced by the women of Nepal. It is very hard to see women and children facing painful situations in their daily lives including lack of food, security, education, protection etc. This should not happening to them. As human beings they should have equal opportunity in every aspect of their lives. Please help to end the violence and injustice and create equality, peace and social justice for all. Let them have their human rights.

As an independent and self-sufficient female who has volunteered with the Women's Foundation in Nepal, I can attest to how important it is that the new Nepalese Constitution contain the necessary clauses to give women and girls their freedom to make their own life decisions and to explore their personalities and dreams.
