Consumers deserve the choice to either have a basic package or a high end package. Backwards compatibility for PS2 games is important to alot of people and so is the extra 2 USB sockets and media card slots.

I think it is wrong, and unfair, and that it is a bad idea to take backwards compatibility out of the ps3. Backwards compatibility is important and a big selling point.

If, when i´ll go to buy it, the only avaliable PS3 in the store is the 40Gb one, with no PS2 compatibility, only 2 USB ports and no Memory card slot, i´ll buy a XBox 360.
