Euthanized Pets dumped on Garbage Tip
Tanya Van Heerden published a very disturbing article on the front page of the Kouga Express last week with the above picture showing a total disrespect for unwanted, lost and abandoned pets, that have been euthanized and dumped on our local garbage tip. This blatant disrespect for animals (whom most were once someones pets) should not be tolerated in any way or form. It is a sad reality that many cats and dogs are euthanized on a regular basis, but when it comes to the disposal of these animals, it should be done in a respectful and civilized manner. Appropriate burial procedures should be a strictly monitored and adhered to ensure that nothing as barbaric as the above happens again! Thank you for your helping those that cannot speak for themselves!

We the undersigned, read a very disturbing article on the front page of our local newspaper Kouga Express Newspaper last week with a photo showing a total disrespect for unwanted, lost and abandoned pets, that have been euthanized and dumped on our local garbage tip. My local Animal Control is in Dallas, NC and they do this very same thing. I have seen it, with many unknown witnesses. Its bad enough they lose what little dignity they have left when Animal Control Idiots (follow policy) have to gas many of them several times. Do they not deserve to die with dignity the way we all do. those shelter dogs may have never experienced love or affection an a vet tech giving an injection and rubbing his or her head may be the only friendly touch they have ever had. SHAME ON ANIMAL CONTROL DIRECTORS. Do the murder yourselves... To all states this should have been made illegal years ago. Theory I want the person who may have brutally killed and beaten my mother to death to die a horrific death. not be eased into a deep rest with a priest by his/her side. POINT BEING THE ANIMAL ARE MORE WORTHY, THEY ARE SELFLESS AND WILLING TO FALL TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH YOU. WHAT DID THEY DO TO DESERVE GAS CHAMBERS WITH MULTIPLE GASSINGS (not always but some)
this is an abysmal situation... imagine a child viewing such a shocking sight... it would surely haunt them forever. The Humansdorp Municipality needs to answer for this one... pet lovers, please consider cremation as an option....
All life deserves respect !! Dumping them on a garbage pile points to a lack of humanity, compassion and basic morals. These are the people who would throw anyone and everyone onto that dump - take action people of SA and prevent filth from speaking out on your behalf...
This is disgraceful! Please give these unwanted angels some degree of respect, even if it's just in death. It makes be ashamed of being a South African.
